The
Return of Tranklements. Tranklements was one of the first
groups I booked for the Folk Train and after much badgering Tony
Canning resurrected the group. Unfortunately, I was ill so couldn't be
there! |

Treebeard
With less emphasis on funny hats this time
the musicianship shone through and I felt that Treebeard were better than ever.
I'm sure that no-one went away disappointed.

The Little Bigfoot Band
always gives good value. An entertaining mix of gimmick-free

Silverwheel is an outstanding new line-up,

Another well attended outing with new band Skyhook. It's
really
rewarding for me when high quality, serious folk music receives such
acclaim from a Folk Train audience but it was absolutely deserved.

Bernard Cromarty
once again demonstrated his instrumental and dynamic range,
from his raucous
parody of Allouette to a
softly rendered reconstruction of Wild
Mountain Thyme. |

First time on the Folk Train for Scuppered,
who provided us with an evening worthy of the festive season. i.e.
exactly as billed!
(Funny though - they seemed somewhat familiar!) |
